Noches de Copas Vol. 7

Freddy, el Chulo y esta pequeña fruta decidieron que como no tenían nada mejor que hacer se iban a colear descaradamente en una fiesta. No les voy a cambiar el nombre porque no pasó nada malo a parte de mandarnos la peíta sabrosa sabatina. Además, no leen el blog nunca.

A: Marico, se acabó el hielo.
F: Hora de partir, sin duda. ¿Dónde está el Chulo?
A: bueno, conocemos como a cinco personas cada uno (totally untrue, yo conocía a la mitad de la fiesta pero me daba 1.- pena reconocer públicamente que en algún momento estuve ligada a gente así y 2.- lástima con ellos, entonces me solidaricé con su impopularidad) o sea que no puede estar muy lejos.
F: dale. Yo lo busco y tú tratas de conseguir hielo en la cocina de la casa, ¿va?
A: va.

Regresé cinco minutos después con tragos y hielo para los tres, porque soy demasiado ágil, le hice ojitos al dueño de la casa (sin saber que era tal, cabe destacar) y me sirvió hielo de la maquinita. Maravilloso.
C: bueno, ¿pero para dónde vamos a ir? - como buen engañado que es y haciéndose el huevón- ¿Bavar?
F: bueno es aquí al lado, pero la música es malísima y siempre es un peo entrar a esta hora. Es insólito como en esta ciudad los malandros con real, y a veces sin él, pasan a los locales y a nosotros nos ven con cara de delincuentes.
C: ¿Sawu?
U: ditto a Freddy, misma cosa que con Bavar.
C: Uva, que ladilla deja de hablar en inglés.
A: déjame ser. Bueno, quitémonos la careta. Todos sabemos que vamos a terminar en Le Club porque queremos ir (énfasis en esas dos palabras), aunque sea uncool reconocerlo.
F y C: let´s did it (frase que inventamos rascados. I dare you a que la traduzcan para darse cuenta de lo rascados que estábamos. And it made perfect sense for a few seconds to be honest).


Media hora y una pasajera extra en el carro después, llegamos a saludar a Jose y a William, y a Willy nuestro barman favorito. Como todos supimos desde el principio pero pocos fuimos valientes para reconocer the burning desire to acabar el trapo where everybody knows our names.
L: ¡holaaaaa! (abrazo de oso y cara genuina de emoción).
A: hola (cara de no entender lo que pasa, no por la semi-pea sino porque él me odia y yo lo odio de vuelta. Y ahora está bueno, go figure). ¿Cómo estás?
L: ay ya, deja el peo. Yo no te odio. Nunca te odié. Obviamente tenía que ser distante en ese momento, pero las cosas han cambiado.
A: ah ok. Weird, but ok.
L: es en serio, Andre. No hay rollo por este lado. Ahora, si tú no quieres saber nada de mí, pues puedo entenderlo. No lo comparto y me parece muy chimbo, porque al fin y al cabo ninguno le hizo nada malo al otro -descaro- pero, allá tú.
Mi cabeza: pues, no hay nadie más que baile bien aquí. Será. Además, ya no es un gordito endurecido.... está genuinamente bueno. Aunque su cabeza sea demasiado grande. Efecto Chupeta. Jajajaja. Ok, focus.
A: (personalidad madura) tranquilo, no hay rollo de mi parte tampoco. Déjame ir a buscar un trago y vengo, ¿ok?
L: vaya con Dios.


Se me había olvidado qué tan bien bailaba. O por lo menos mejoró que jode en estos últimos años. Es inevitable que se revuelvan cosas que convenía mejor dejarlas tranquilas, cuando bailas con alguien que te gustaba. Cuando tienes las semi conversaciones que se permiten en una discoteca porque te obligan con el grip del baile a que te pegues más y tu cabeza encaja perfecto en su cuello. Cuando hueles una colonia que te recuerda a él. A esa persona con la que bailas. Cuando esa persona se había olvidado pero el olor, nunca. Le dices que está más flaco, él te dice que estás bien bonita. Y te jodiste. Porque ahora te lo quieres zampar de nuevo. Y accionas los mecanismos pertinentes.


C: (Cara de incomodidad por interrumpir). Uva, vamos a refilear. ¿Quieres uno?
Mi cabeza: always leave them wanting more. Como dice Cosmopolitan, vete. Si cuando vuelvas él se te acerca de nuevo, ganaste.
A: dale, voy con ustedes. Ya vengo.
L: (confundido porque quizás estoy con el pana) hhmm ok.
C: carajo, ¡Plan Norelys funciona!
F: esoooo Uva ganó, Uva ganó.
Daniela: claro que sí, esa es la mía.
A: jajaja no he ganado todavía. Pero quizás gane.
F: bueno si el pana es el que te va a llevar a buscar tu carro en mi casa avisa, no te desaparezcas.
A: Freddy no me lo voy a coger ni me lo voy a zampar, come on.
C: ¿por qué no? Let´s did it!
D: jajaja marica, no te lo cojas obviamente pero ¡zampa! Zampa por las que no podemos. Let me live through you.
A: ve a ponerte unos cojones y haz tú lo mismo es lo que es.
F: Tonic todos, ¿verdad?
C: yeah.

Cuento largo corto, el niño se había ido cuando llegué a la pista. ¿Andreína "Deditos Alegres" Rancel qué hizo? Lo llamó. Dejó un par de mensajes mentando madre porque "no tenía con quien bailar" y el amigo ni se inmutó. El día siguiente mandó un mensaje que rezaba: "Andre mi cel es 0412-Now-A-Hottie, acabo de escuchar tus mensajes en el Movistar, ¿cómo estás?" Ignore.


En la arepera solicitamos, no, exigimos, ser atendidos por el mesonero de la cuña de Maltín Polar. Como aparentemente todos los borrachos como nosotros exigían lo mismo, sólo se acercó a saludar. Muy pana. En algún punto de la comida, nos pasa al lado de la mesa una señora con una caja de torta de panadería.
F: (viendo a la perfecta desconocida) ¿torta?
Perfecta Desconocida: sí...
F: dame.
PD: dale, no te la voy a regalar toda pero sí un pedacito.

Entonces, ignorando nuestras caras de incredulidad ante el descaro de Freddy y la generosidad de la señora, la señora agarró el cuchillo del cruzado que uno de nosotros se comió, sucio, picó un pedazo de torta y se lo lanzó a Freddy en una servilleta. Las carcajadas inmediatamente posteriores hicieron que por primera vez en la vida me botaran de una arepera, y miren que he hecho unos cuantos showcitos por la pea.

What's Your Must-Have Wedding Accessory?

Brides-to-be often inspire each other.   When recently asked the following question:   "What is your must-have wedding accessory - the one thing you must have to make your wedding day complete?", here are some of the responses we received:

• My "must have" wedding accessory would be the thank-you gifts to our wedding party...they support the bride and groom before, during, and after the wedding so I feel it is extremely important to pick them out something extra special! – Shannon P.

Bar Mitzvah Celebrations at The Grand Hotel

Blackpool Reform Jewish Congregation Synagogue, This was the venue for this winter time Bar Mitzvah. We dressed the ceremony space with Pedestals of fabulous White Phalaenopsis Orchids.

The Bar Mitzvah was celebrated in fabulous style at The Grand Hotel in St Annes, the theme for this event was Black & White, Diamonds & Classical Composers. The colour scheme was perfect for fabulous trails of white Phalaenopsis Orchids, White Amaryllis and Black Ostrich Feathers.

The Lighting and entertainmenet were provided by the very wonderful Stardream Tel: 01253-302602

The Tables were named after classical composers

The bars at The Grand and the reception rooms at The Synagogue were dressed with potted Phalaenopsis that could be kept as lasting reminders of the event.

The large top table seated 20 or so guests and was decorated with a series of varying sized goldfish bowl designs and glass diamonds.

The guest tables had black table cloths and the top table had a white cloth, the chairs were in white with black sahes, this colour scheme looked both masculine and classic and suite The Grand's decor perfectly.

This was a family celebration for a family with fabulous taste it really was a pleasure to work for them.

The customer had an idea which we used to create a cadcam image and then we made the rings using platinum, the customers own diamonds plus some extra diamonds. The customer was happy with the finished rings and I enjoyed making them. My son made the video and the music is from my own band NEEB.

SiverDell Book Shop in Kirkham Presents, Julian Clary in Conversation with Our Very Own Peter Taylor

Jason and I dressed the stage the great people at Lowther Pavillion, mopped, set the lights and as the saying goes the stage was set....

Elaine from SilverDell, welcomed the huge audience that filled Lowther each member of the audience was given a signed copy of Julian's latest novel "Devil in Disguise", Sue from Silverdell was behind the scenes ensuring that all ran smoothly.

Peter Taylor was first on stage, he thanked us all for our attendance, for our very much needed support of Lowther and then he introduced Julian...

Julian regaled us with tales of "Fanny the Wonder Dog", "The Joan Collins Fan Club", affairs at "Strictly Come Dancing" and so much more including reading some seriously entertaining excerts from his novel.

Peter Taylor did, as we all knew he would the most brilliant "Parkinson" impression ever seen, he was quite wonderful, utterly entertaining yet completely in charge, not easy with a guest as excellent if not just little tricky as Julian Clary, well done Peter, we were very proud of you.

Sue & Elaine do such a fabulous job of organising these literary extravaganzas and it's great that this sort of thing also helps to support local businesses and of course Lowther.

After the conversation Julian added messages to the signed books and had his picture taken with members of the audience, a great night was had by all.

Blackpool's Golden Mile Wedding Day of Suzy & Anthony

Welcome to Suzy & Anthony's fabulous Blackpool Wedding Day, the weather was stupendous, the golden shades suited the setting as we were celebrating on the famous Blackpool "Golden Mile"

I used a beautiful collection of Cream Vendella, Sandy & Akito Roses, surrounded by Crystal Blush Calla Lilies, caged by Flexi Grass and framed with rolled Aspidestra leaves, some of the Roses were studded with diamante pins.The Bridesmaids carried very simple single stem Arum Lilies, Grasses and Xanadu leaves. The bouquet complemented Suzy's fabulous Dan Kerr wedding dress

Anthony wore an eye catching ivory suit with gold tie and Ivory Akito Rose Buttonhole

This corsage was designed to compliment the silver grey outfit of the Bride's Mum.

Suzy's gown was magnificent and really suited her, the gown was from Dan Kerr Bridal in Blackpool

A horse drawn carriage, perfect for the "Golden Mile"

Anthony & Suzy were married at St John Vianney Church, Blackpool.

The wedding reception was held at The Carlton Hotel, Blackpool, Promenade. We arranged tall conical vases filled with golden glittered jelly and a fresh hand tie of Arums, Roses, Solomons Seal, Gerbera, foliages & Grasses. All the team at Flower Design would love to send their warmest congratulations to Suzy & Anthony!
